What affects the price

Filming days, locations and crew size
Finished length and number of versions or cut-downs
Interviews, presenters, actors or voice-over
Drone, animation and graphics
Usage: website and social, or paid ads and broadcast

What to ask before you choose

Will you assign the copyright in what you make to me in writing, or give me a written licence — and for which uses?
What will you hand over at the end: source files, code, logins and accounts, in my own name?
Will you keep what I share with you confidential, and agree that in writing?
How many edited images, or how long a video, and in which formats?
For drone work: what is your IAA operator registration number?

What the work usually involves

Product and pack shots for a shop or menu
Weddings, parties, conferences and launches
Property photography for sale or rent
Short promotional videos
Editing raw footage into a finished video
Drone photography by a registered operator

What to put in your task

What is being photographed or filmed, where and when
How the photos or video will be used
How many finished images or how long a video you need
For editing: how much footage there is and in what format
