Cookies and storage
Every cookie and every item Talqero keeps on your device — on this site, in the application at /app and in the phone app — what each is for, how long it stays, and how to change your choice.
Version 1, in force from 10 October 2026.
Your choice about visit statistics
Talqero counts visits to improve the site: which pages are read, on what size of screen, and how far down. With your permission a small script of ours sends that to our own server; it is anonymous, sent to nobody else, never used for advertising and never combined across sites. Without your permission it does not run — and whatever you choose, our server still counts the pages it sends, without reading anything from your device. The same choice covers this site and the application at /app.
You have not chosen yet, so no statistics are collected from your browser.
Your choice — yes or no — is kept for 182 days (six months) and then asked again; it is asked again sooner if this page changes what the statistics collect. Rejecting is as easy as allowing, costs you nothing, and takes effect at once.
Cookies in your browser
Only these are set. Talqero uses no advertising, social-media or third-party analytics cookies.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Category | How long | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
talqero_consentWhole site, including /app (path /). HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure. | Talqero | Remembers your answer to the visit-statistics question — allowed or rejected — with the version of this page you answered and when, so you are not asked on every page and the statistics run only if you said yes. Set only when you answer. | Strictly necessary | 182 days (six months), then you are asked again — sooner if this page changes what is collected | Reg. 5(5) ePrivacy Regulations 2011: strictly necessary, no consent needed — it is how your choice is respected; GDPR Art. 6(1)(c) and 7(1), to be able to show what you chose |
talqero_sessionThe application, /app. HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, Secure. | Talqero | Keeps you signed in. Holds a random token that the sign-in service checks on every request. | Strictly necessary | Until the session ends: two hours after an e-mail code, up to twelve hours after a passkey. Deleted when you sign out. | Reg. 5(5) ePrivacy Regulations 2011: strictly necessary, no consent needed; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), the service you signed in to use |
talqero_partyThe application, /app. HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, Secure. | Talqero | Which of your capacities — yourself, or a business you belong to — you are acting in. Every service still checks that you belong to it. | Strictly necessary | Until you close the browser. Deleted when you sign out. | Reg. 5(5) ePrivacy Regulations 2011: strictly necessary, no consent needed; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) |
talqero_roleThe application, /app. HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, Secure. | Talqero | Whether the screens are laid out for ordering work or for doing it. Set only when you press "Order work" or "Do work", which says it is remembered. | Preference, set at your request | 180 days, or until you press the other side | Reg. 5(5): a setting you asked to be remembered, with its duration shown where you set it (Article 29 Working Party Opinion 04/2012, §3.6); GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) |
talqero_admin_sessionThe staff panel, /admin, only. HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, Secure. | Talqero | Keeps a member of Talqero's staff signed in to the panel. Never set for anybody else. | Strictly necessary | Until the session ends, at most twelve hours. Deleted on sign-out. | Reg. 5(5) ePrivacy Regulations 2011: strictly necessary, no consent needed; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) |
__cf_bmAny page, when Cloudflare checks traffic for automated abuse. | Cloudflare | Set by Cloudflare, which carries traffic between you and our servers as our processor, to tell people from abusive bots. Not used by us or by Cloudflare to follow you. | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes | Reg. 5(5) ePrivacy Regulations 2011: strictly necessary, no consent needed — security of the service; GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) |
cf_clearanceOnly if Cloudflare has shown you a security check. | Cloudflare | Remembers that you passed the security check, so it is not shown again on every page. | Strictly necessary | Cloudflare's challenge-passage period (30 minutes unless set otherwise) | Reg. 5(5) ePrivacy Regulations 2011: strictly necessary, no consent needed — security of the service; GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) |
Why talqero_party and talqero_role need no consent: each is written only when you ask for that setting — by choosing the capacity you act in, or pressing “Order work” or “Do work” — and holds nothing but the setting. Storage that is strictly necessary for a service you explicitly asked for is exempt from consent (Regulation 5(5) of the ePrivacy Regulations 2011); the Data Protection Commission's guidance gives a remembered preference as its example, and the European Data Protection Board's Guidelines 2/2023 leave that exemption to the national rules. talqero_party ends when you close the browser; talqero_role says beside the switch that it is remembered for 180 days.
Reading your device without a cookie
A script that makes your browser send information about your device needs your consent just as a cookie does, even though it stores nothing. This is the only one.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Category | How long | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Visit statistics (page script)The public site. The application at /app runs no statistics script. | Talqero | Tells our own server, for each page: its address, the size class of your screen (one of five), how long it was open and how far down you read, your browser's language, the site you came from on the first page, any campaign tag in the link, and whether the browser says it is being driven by a program. Stores nothing on your device. Sent only to us; never to a third party, never for advertising, never combined across sites. | Statistics, only with your consent | Only while your "Allow statistics" stands: until you reject or withdraw, at most six months | Reg. 5(3) ePrivacy Regulations 2011: your consent; GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) |
In the Talqero phone app
The app sets no cookies. It keeps these in the operating system's secure storage, and asks once, when it first opens, whether it may count screens; the answer can be changed under Profile. Photographs waiting to upload and copies of job photographs it has shown are kept in the app's own folders and deleted when you sign out.

App statisticsPhone app | Talqero | Tells our server which screens you open (their template, never an identifier in them), a few steps such as posting a task, the app version and the platform. No device or advertising identifier. | Statistics, only with your consent | Only while you allow it: until you switch it off on You, at most six months | Reg. 5(3): your consent; GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) |
Changing or withdrawing your choice
On the site and in the application, “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page — and on Profile in the application — brings back the two buttons. In the phone app, the “Visit statistics” switch under Profile. Rejecting stops the statistics immediately; what was counted before stays as anonymous as it was, and individual records are deleted after 90 days.
Deleting cookies
Every browser can show and delete the cookies a site has set: in Chrome and Edge under Settings, Privacy, Cookies and site data; in Firefox under Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data; in Safari under Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data. Deleting talqero_consent means you are asked again; deleting talqero_session signs you out. Your browser's ordinary cache also keeps copies of pages, images and map tiles to load them faster, as it does for any site; clearing it deletes them.
