After-builders cleaning: what the job involves
Removing the fine plaster, sanding and sawdust that settles on every surface after building work, and cleaning paint, plaster and stickers off new glass, tiles and floors. Dust keeps falling for days, so a proper clean often has a second pass.
How long it takes: A day for a room or two after a small job; two or three people over one or two days after a full renovation or extension.

What after-builders cleaning in Tulla costs, and why
What jobs on Talqero came to
Not enough comparable jobs yet to publish a range here. Talqero shows a price range only once at least five comparable jobs, agreed prices or offers exist — a range from fewer would describe a handful of jobs, not the market. Post your job and compare the offers you get.
What affects the price
- How much dust is left, and whether the builders did a rough clean first
- Floor area and the number of rooms, windows and glass doors
- Paint, plaster or adhesive that has to come off glass, tiles or floors
- Whether rubbish and packaging also need to go
- A return visit for the dust that settles later
Rules and grants for after-builders cleaning
The rules in Ireland
A cleaner who takes rubbish or builders’ waste away for you must hold a waste collection permit.
- Anybody who takes your waste away must hold a waste collection permit. Handing waste to an unpermitted collector is an offence for the householder, with a fine of up to €5,000 — ask for the permit number, which collectors must show on vehicles and receipts.
